485 Case Transfer

I called FBI to check on my fingerprinting (done at SJC ASC on Sept 25th) status and found that the results were sent to CSC @ Laguna Niguel instead of VSC.
My lawyer called USCIS to inquire about this and he replied me saying that my case would have got transferred to CSC. Since CSC is processing Mar 2004 cases already, my lawyer was allowed to initiate an inquiry regarding my case). Hope to hear something positive back from my lawyer soon.

Any thoughts from experts here?

Question

What is your postal address. If you are from California then it makes sense for them to send to CA center.

yes my postal address is in CA..On what basis do they make these transfers though? Just based on postal address doesn't look right to me..
 
What if the postal address change is with in the different city but same jurisdiction? Still they xfer?

I think they go by the postal address and the service centers jurisdiction..
Just found out that my collegues fingerprints were also sent to CSC instead of VSC, although it was filed at VSC.
