Finally received 485 approvals for myself, spouse and kid. Approved on 08/06/03. Here are the details:
WAC#: 02-047-*****
ND: Nov-16-2001
RD: Nov-23-2001
Priority date: Aug-02-2000
EB3 Category
1st FP done: Jan 31, 2002 (Oxnard)
1st EAD: March 2002
2nd EAD: March 2003
2nd FP: July 15, 2003 (Oxnard)
Received RFE on July 1st and responded on July 31st. Within 6 days got 485 approved.
Changed job in between, more than 1 year after applying for I-485. Did not apply for AC-21. But I think my lawyer responded to RFE with required documents for AC-21
I did not continue with the same job description I had applied my I-140 or labor for. But in my current employment letter submitted to INS in response to RFE, I mentioned the same job responsibilities.
My lawyer never sent me copy of RFE and neither did I receive one from BCIS, but he said RFE was for employment verification. I also sent marriage certificate and birth certificate for my child, recent pay stubs, last 3 years company finance statements, and W2.
One of my friend also received I-485 approval last month. I think his ND/RD is Nov-14-2003 or Nov-24-2003. One of these. He also had changed jobs and did not send any Ac-21 docs to INS.
Anyways, I'm happy that the long stint is now over. I am going for passport stamping some time next week and will post my experiences too.
Although I have never posted any thing on this site before, I am a regular visitor and benefitted a lot by other's postings here. It is truly an amazing site.
My thanks to Silly man, PC, Kashmir and many others for helping every one by sharing your thoughts and experiences.
Wish you all the best of luck and hope you will receive the much awaited approval.
