My co-worker (Pakistani national) got his Green Card approval within 75 days from the date his I-485 was applied in NSC.

Detail:
Concurrent filling of I-140 & I-485

LC Priority Date; August 2002
Concurrent Filling date: October 12, 2006
I-140 approved on Oct 19, 06 (premium processing)
Fingure Print done on Nov 27th 2006
Received Approval Notice as well as cards in mail on Jan 8th 2007.

FYI: in early december 06 there was a RFE related to his US entry stamp on passport and clear copy of Visa stamp on passport, a response was never submitted, attorney still preparing a response and he already got Green Card, however when he told this to his attorney, attorney is saying that it may be an error to approve without a response to RFE. may be they are trying to get their money for replying to RFE as they get paid for each and every response.

Do u know his Category?

Congrats and Good Luck to your friend. To my understanding, if there is an RFE issued on a case, then it would be an error to approve GC without receiving a response. I would advise him to follow-up on this not only for the said reason but as I-485 approval in 75 days at least in EB2 & EB3 is lil unheard of.

BTW do you know which category he filed his case EB1, EB2, EB3.....

Couple of rookie questions

Maybe it is a rookie question, but does category matter for 485 processing?
I know it matters for quota, but if EB2 and EB3 dates are both available for an application does the category matter?
Also, do they process as per the PD or the Receipt/notice date?

Thanks in advance

Your are predicting too early. You are still within the regular processing time (< May6,2006) and even your 1-485 has not passed 180 days. You have your I-140 approved in last week of Nov'06 which is still less than two months(normally within two months of I-140 approval).
So just wait patiently, pray and expect for the best to happen any day.
We all are on the same boat..counting each day. All the best.

Thank you there

That is all I do and I use the number of 2 months after I-140 as a possible candidate to get approved, that is why i have not done infopass at all. The only concern is about that why not even a Lud at any moment just after finger prints and that is it. Any how i will be waiting up to the schedule they update every month online. Then if my date come current and i dont see anything is when i gonna start moving

What was your lud about it? Bidz

I had a series of LUD( no message change except for that had my RFE received on 11/9) for 7 days before it stopped on 11/17. I had infopass last month and the officer told me to wait cause' i am in extended review. That's my story until now.
Don't worry about your FP LUD,you should be fine.
