485 approved from VSC eb3 category with approved labor filed in nov 04

All,
My friend had used approved labor and filed 140/485 concurrently.
140/485/131/765-rd Nov 02
140/485/131/765-nd nov 07
140 approved - jan 6th
fp notice dec 2
485 approved -april 5th.
now this guy used approved labor under eb3 category.how can they approve his 485 with retrogression.i am so confused with my own case that i am speechless.gurus please advice.

you didn't mention the priority date on approved labor. It looks like the PD was current and everything went through as clean as a whistle. Some people are born lucky.....will turn to gold whatever they do.

Look at my case, I was in the line for almost 2 years for I485.
 
priority date june 03

priority date is june 03 or july 03.this guy sits next to me.how is this possible? :(
