Hi Folks,
Today its my turn to post the good news to this wonderful forum. Finally the ordeal is over. Details are as follows:
EB1
GC Process Started: 8/98 @ VSC
RD : 3/99 (for 485)
ND : 3/99
FP : 2/00, Did Call FBI to follow-up: They said it has been processed
the same day, but wouldn\'t ans if it is approved or not
No RFEs: Although I was a bit worried about our Photos, because
I clicked them myself in my home using my Minolta SLR on a Tripod
(I am not suggesting anything, but just that it worked)
No IIO Contacts: Although I made several futile attempts to talk to them
but couldn\'t get past the busy signal
485 Approved 7/12/00
Phone Msg Changed to "This case been approved....." on 7/13,till then no change. What a sweet sound. After listening it several times I could not resist taping it and listening many times over again!!!
Attorney Recieved the Original while I received the courtesy copy stating that the original has been sent to So and so etc... Attorney later forwarded the originals to me...
Passport Stamped 7/20/00
Went in line at 7:30am and was out by 8:40am. Ten minutes job but an hour\'s wait. We had to submit all our EAD Cards, My Ad Parole docs and I-94s. Plus 2 Photos each (less than 30day old) (this time I did not try my luck again). The stamp on PP will be active till we get our real GCs and can be renewed if the card doesnot arrive within one year. One interesting thing I would like to mention: my wife did not have her I-94 with her PP as they were safely filed away at the Attorney\'s office along with our other original documents like Birth Certs, Marriage docs etc. However, we had a copy of it and they accepted it.
I am very grateful to all of you who share/shared same goals and take/took time to share your experiences and thoughts on this forum. Thanks to Khanna for setting up this forum. I pray that your turns will come much sooner than you expect and VSC will keep its current pace of processing.
Best of luck to all...
Goan...
