485 Approval -- Finally ....

Hi Friends,

Finally I got to see the magic email from UCIS today. My 485 was approved today on Oct 6th. While I am very excited, I was a little dis-heartened to not see my wife's simultaneous approval. She was added to the application at a later date after my 485 was filed. Is this normal? When should I expect to see my wife's approval?

Mine:
ND - Oct 12th 2002
FP1 - Dec 2002
FP2 - Sept 2004
AP - Oct 6th 2004

Wife's:
ND - Jan 2003
FP1 - Mar 2004
AP - ?????

I am in the same boat!
My I-485 got approved on 09/03/04.
My wife's still pending! :eek:
I have got the FBI Fingerprint check info from FBI for my wife-it was completed on July 02nd and send to BCIS on the same day!
Does anyone know how long is the usual lag between the approval of principal applicant and derivative applicant? :confused:

Congrats! You got email today but was approved on Oct 6th, why the email delayed? also when exactly you did your FP2?

Take things slowly, don't use heavy words like DISHEARTENED, your spouse will get eventually.

The 2nd FP was on 23rd Sept. I got the Approval on Oct 6th and recieved the emails on the same day. I am still waiting for the Approval Notice to arrive my mail .... I guess they were just waiting for me to do my 2nd FP. In fact my original 2nd FP appointment was on Oct 22nd but I decided to go there early ... good thing that I did .... :) ... now only if mny spouse gets approved soon. She was added later to the Application and did her first FP March 04 so it is still within the 15 month period.

Wife Approved today

My Wife's case was approved today, approx 2 weeks after mine was approved. Her application was added about 7-8 months after mine.

Congratulations!
Did you send a copy of the receipt notice for your wife's 485 application to Vermont center after you submitted her file? I am curious how they link the two cases together, if at all? By the way, did you two get the same notices for FP or also seperately? I am just wondering if there is any way to remind them that our spouse is also applying, even though a little later.
