485 application

Hi

I am about to file my 485 in the next week or two... I am getting married in Dec and will be getting my spouse on an H-4 visa.... and will be filing her 485 application in Jan/Feb 2002..My current H-1 visa expires in March 2002.... Do I need to renew my H-1 beyond March 2002.... since I can work on my EAD assuming that I get it before my H-1 expires... In that case ,what will happen to my wife\'s status after March 2002 if I use my EAD...Can she continue to remain here based on her pending 485 application (even though she may have not received her EAD by then)..... Can someone please let me know about this?

If you have more years in your H-1 it is wise to get H1 extended instead of assuming that you will get your EAD. Go ahead and apply for you 485 and if you want even EAD but have the h-1 extended which will be helpful in many ways.
