485 and W2

Do we need to submit W2 of the previous years with 485 applications ?

I did not do that... You have to mention the years for which you have paid taxes... I guess... Its been so long that I filled I-485... Cant remember exactly but it is something like that.

It depends on attorney

It is not a issue whether you submit or not.

Sometimes you get RFE for employment, and at that time, you may have to produce your old W2s.

my attorney asked the copies of recent

three w2 when he filed my petition.

When we filed for I-485, we submitted the recent 3 years of W2 and Tax return statements as per our attorney's suggestion.

This is NOT mandated, but is a better to do thing to reduce the chance of RFE
