485 and travel

Folks, my ND is Sept. 00. I am planning to travel outside the country in the middle of August thru early Sept. Going by present pace of approvals there is some likelihood that my case gets adjuducated when outside the country. Is that a problem in any way? I should be able to enter using the AP no matter what, right? I did not expect the pace at VSC to pickup so much when I was planning my trip couple of months back.

You can definitely travel on your AP and re-enter the US based on your AP document regardless of whether your case is being adjudicated or not. I am writing this from Germany and I have been travelling throughout my I485 period and re-entering the US on my AP. My case is already being adjudicated and an RFE has been issued in my case and has been responded to.
