485 and Marriage

Hi
I got my I140 approved and my company wants to go ahead and apply for 485. Can u help me understand the procedure for applying 485 before marriage and applying for my wife after marriage. I read some where that once i move to EAD and use AP i cannot bring my wife here??. Also if i gave my FP i cannot add my wife to the GC process. should i really wait for 4 months or can i apply it right now

you can add your wife anytime just to

make sure she is added before INS approves your I-485.
Nothing to do with the FP.

about the EAD and AP, you're right. Once you use EAD and AP, you have to marry in the US not outside of the US and then file I-485 for your wife.

Not neccessarily

When u use EAD u loose H1 status and u cannot get H4 for u'r Spouse.But u can still process GC for u'r spouse from u'r home country using "Follow to Join" provided u marry before I-485 approval.
 
Thanks guys, a follow up applying EAD means moving out of H1 status or i can have approved EAD and be on H1 status
