485 and H1B

I have a question about 485. My wife had a H1B visa and once we got married, I filed for her 485 though she continued working on H1B visa even after the marraige. Was that okay to do that? Eventually she quit her job and applied for EAD based on 485. But I just wanted to know that we won't get in any trouble for doing that when we go for 485 interview.

Please advice.

You are perfectly fine, H-1B is a dual intent visa and it is even recommended to keep H-1 until approval of I-485. You can switch to EAD any time if you wish (I did it recently).
