485 after 824 approval?

My 140 was approved then I filed 824 for CP which also got approved. But now instead of going the CP route, i am advised to go the 485 route. So if 485 is now filed will this automatically cancel my CP processing (NVC - Packet 3 - etc). What needs to be done if I want to go 485 route now instead of CP.
