My mom is applying for citizenship based on 4 yrs + 1 day rule. She has been a GC holder since August 2000 but had taken 3 re-entry permits during initial years due to personal reasons and had been in our home country for more than 1 year but less than 2 years (total of 2164 days using 3 re-entry permits). Her last visit using Re-entry permit was in 1/22/2007 - 1/8/2009. So her clock restarted from 1/8/2009. Now, she has completed 4 years and 1 day. In the last 4 years (From 1/8/2009), she has maintained her continuous stay though made short trips of 2-3 months each year outside US. Does she still have to provide evidence of continuous stay like rent, employment, tax returns? She has none of the documents as she has no income and stays with her kids who support her needs. If yes, what documents can be provided as evidence?

Along with the application, photocopy of front and back of her permanent resident card, two passport style photos and the fee should be sent.During interview you would need a cover letter explaining 4 years+1 day of stay, the RPs etc.
