it was so sorry to hear your bad news, maybe i am the next. here is my suggestion:

1) keep eyes on new job, as i know, it is hard, sometime NOT
2) this is the most important, for employment based application, there is very big percentage to get no interview, i have three closed friends, they just got approval notice.

do not worry too much, you are just fine. :)

I want to quit searching for jobs and taking shit from the employers, who squize you everytime.
I need to get the Approval so that I can open a shop of some kind.
Now once again no insurance no nothing just the bills that just keep coming.

Keep your hopes up guys. I was without a job for 6 months, being a single earner with 2 kids. Dont mean to sound negative, but I was constriant to Dallas and did not want to relocate.
But now I think things are improving. So pray and keep trying.
 
I too went thru the same phase - without a job.
We were expecting baby in April , so I passed 2 oppurtunities since they would have needed travel out of Houston.
Now I am gainfully employed, but I have moved to DC area.
I understand from elders, layoffs and down economy keep on happening in cycles here.
The key is Saving it for the Rainy Day.
