Hi JimKelly
These are for you
No the postoffice never forwards any mail from USCIS, and so ur EAD card will go back to USCIS and u wud have to call them and update ur address and to ur luck if they update it properly then you can get it may be at a later date.
Your EAD validaty will be for 1 yr becoz of 3 things:
Firstly USCIS has still not implemented the longer validity on EADs (also refer to today's released new improvements file somewhere in this forum which clearly states that it will be done soon)
secondly It is that your 3rd EAD, so that means u r nearing ur GC approval soon. (EAD validity is not extended in all cases, it is only extended in those cases where USCIS feels that it wud take more than one yr to process the I-485 application. To make it short only the first time EAD appliers may get longer validity and in some cases may be the second ones too)
Thirdly you already have an iEAD, so whenever a local office issues an iEAD like for example NEWARK they usually issue iEAD for 8 months and in these cases the original EAD from USCIS service centers will be for the rest of ur 4 months totally adding it upto 1 yr and ur original EAD starts from the next day ur iEAD expires
Regarding the new design EAD card, USCIS previously issued press statement stating that they will start issuing the new design EAD card starting from June 2004 but they haven't specified a date in june.Going by the calender we still have 13 days left in june and since ur EAD cards were approved before there is a 50-50% chances that u might or might not get a new design card (ask someone who received their card in this week)
HOPE THIS WILL CLEAR ALL UR DOUBTS OR ANXIETY
