356 days to elapse for H1 Extension(after 6 years)

Do we get H1 extension(after 6 years) if our I-140 approval is pending and 365 days had not elapsed since filing for Green Card?

Some say yes\' but some say that we get extension only if we file for
G. 365 days earlier to H1 expire.
There is some confusion on this.
Any clarification is greatly appreciated.
