As you may know, the latest TSC process time (Feb. 16-29) is available now. For AP the currest date was moved to Oct.17 from Sept. 3 (Feb. 1-15). My I-131 was received on Oct. 3. So I called that famous(:D ) 1-800 number. The guy was telling me that he could not do anything for my AP application since my case is still within 30 days window (Oct. 3 plus 30 days). He only can do sth. until current AP process date is moved to Nov. 3

They told me the same 30 day crap when the first time I called. Then I called after 30 days passed, they did the inquery thing. Nothing happened so far.

I called the 1800 # for my pending AP. The ND is 18th August 2003. I was told the same 30 day crap. Now where does it say about the 30 day time frame and even when that passes they can come up with 60 or 90 day time frame what can possibly stop them. As if it wasant bad enough that it was taking 150 to 180 days for AP processing and now when I checked the status it says 220 to 250 days.

All we can do is wish for our 485 approval and that about it.

30 Day Rule

The 30 day rule is mentioned on the USCIS site.
Goto Processing times and select your service center. The 30 day rule appears in the fluff preceeding the actual processing date chart.

Same thing happened with me too. I called today to find the status of my e-filed EAD renewal, she said my RD is within 30 days and can't do anything now. I guess we all have to wait , no other option .

Hey guys, you will receive your AP approval soon. Mine was filed in middle of Sept 2003 and was approved last week.

Hang on.
