30 day requirement for 485 status check

I called BCIS to check my 485 status. Last time I was told it would take 20 months, so this Monday was my 20th month.

The lady answer the phone told me there was an inquiry in the past 30 days and I can not make another one till 30 days since the last one.

I asked her when was the last inquiry, she said she could not tell me and I should call back and see I am ok to make a new inquiry.

I asked if today's call consider an inquiry, she said no.

How to find out who made the last inquiry? I did call them couple of weeks ago, the lady answer the call asked my WAC# and told me wait till 20th month to check back.

ImmigrateMe, it seems that they have no way of immediately looking @ ur case history or enquiry history.

Plus the 20 months versus 24 months is bullcrap.

I think they are trying to get you off the phone. Thats about it.

Just forget abt this 20 month crap, chill out have a blast, the GC will come. Just ensure as somone in the forum says, Hang on to your job with your claws and anything else u can

FYI, I have 3 cases in my office who are WAC-01-297, and they are in Glacier Park by the way this week end..chilling out:D :D
