3 yr extension after I-140 application

Hi:

After I receive 3 year extension (beyond first 6 years) once my I-140 is approved (and I am waiting for my priority date to be current), can I change my employer and transfer my H1 to a new employer? I understand that the GC process with my present employer will be null and void.

Since the 3 yr extension is based on I-140 approval, will the extension be still valid if my employer withdraws the I-140 application?

If I initiate the GC process with my new employer, is there is any risk associated with that?

Thanks!

104 views and no response? Is it a really difficult question?

If you want to be safe, wait 6 month after your I-140 approval and get your hand on the original approval. If you have the original I-140 papers, you will be able to port the PD to your new LC application.

I-140 is the property of the company and hence they wont give me a copy...any other way I can get a copy of the I-140 approval notice?

Is the copy of I-140 absolutely necessary or is it just a recommendation?
