3 years paystubs RFE?

Hi,
What is the chance of getting 3 years paystubs RFE. Are many people getting that, how does one keep track of 3 years paystubs? And what if there are gaps in between?
Also, what happens if there are gaps in employment. Is that a problem when they ask for paystubs? Is the paystub RFE generally of the last 6
months or so or do they ask for longer payperiods?
Please let me know.

I have never seen someone getting RFE for years of paystubs. usually W2/tax filing should suffice (if it matches closely with your stated salary). I have seen RFE asked for
a) last 3 months of paystub
b) Paystub between month/year to month/year (If the status is questionable during the period.)

Don't worry too much. Try collecting all the paystubs you have. You can support your documents with W2.

Thanks, actually

Thanks ihack1, actually in my case I am missing one or more of the recent paystubs and when I went back to one of my previous employers they are refusing to give the paystub to me saying that they had already sent it and cant make another.
This is for a paystub of a month back. I hope it shouldnt be an issue, right?

There should be a way to get a copy of paystub from company. Let me check with my HR to find out what is the 'legal' protocol on that.

Thanks ihack1, awaiting your reply

Thanks a lot ihack1, I'm awaiting your reply on this.

Another way to get it is just get the check instrument copy from your bank which you got from ur employer and get the recent tax copy from irs.

tightwait,
I checked with my HR, they will not be able to get a 'duplicate' pay stub., but can provide the 'output' of a report which will give the salary/deduction information and direct deposit advice. If you provide this 'report' along with a copy of your bank statement which shows direct deposit of the salary, it shoud suffice (check with your attorney)

Now, this may change from one company to another based the system they run (in my company it is peoplesoft HR), but should be able to get the information that is in the paystub.

Good luck.

Thanks, one question

Thanks ihack1 and P252.

Ihack1, I have requested them to print me a copy of the report that you suggested. I dont know how they will react, they may not agree to do so?
I'm awaiting a reply. If they dont produce the report, is it ok to just give the bank statement?

P252,
Thanks for the suggestion. I am calling my bank about the check instrument copy. Also, you had mentioned that I should contact the IRS about the tax copy, but wont that be after my W2 comes out early next year since the tax returns for this year are not yet out?
Please let me know.

Thanks,
Tightwait
