If you are a derivative beneficiary (child of the person who the petition was for) of a marriage based visa when can you apply for citizenship? Is it 3 years or 5? I know if you are under 18 your parent can file citizenship for you but if you are over 21 you have to file yourself, so is the wait 3 years or 5?

Whether you were a derivative or primary beneficiary is irrelevant. It's the same 3 years or 5 years based on being married or not married to a US citizen.
