Based on the above AC21 memo dated May 12th, under “ONE-TIME PROTECTION UNDER PER COUNTRY CEILING” PROVISION OF §104(C) ALLOWING EXTENSION PAST THE H-1B 6-YEAR LIMIT on page 10 & 11, I understood that somebody who is completing their 6 years on H1 and whose I 140 is approved and still waiting on 485 can apply for a H1 extension for a 3 year period in a single extension.
If this is true, I am sure it is going to give some extra time for those who are skeptical on their 485 adjudication for any reason.
