Really need help on this issue. I have a 3 year Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Canadian University. Is it equivalent to 4 year US degree? I basically had 13 grades in high school with last one being OAC. Has anybody in similar situation been able to fit into EB2 category and subsequently be approved for I-140? I do have 5+ years of experience but academic part is what worries me.

I really need help on this. Your thoughs are soooooo appreciated!

p.s. On top of the 3 year degree I do have some extra credits, but will it matter?

C'mon guys, I really need help with this issue. I can't believe nobody knows anything about this. Pointers? Links? Anything?

canadian BA

I had to provide an education evaluation for my initial H1-b and my three year Canadian degree was deemed equivalent to a u.s. bachelor's. My understanding is that it is because we had that 5th year of high school. I'm not sure if it would be the same for current grads who could finish OACs in 4 years.

Did the evaluation state that Canadian Degree was equivalent to "4" years US bachelor's degree? If so, who has done your evaluation?

Thanks

evaluation

No, it states that enrollment in university was based on completion of grade 13 and that receiving a three year BA inconjunction with grade 13 represents the equivalent of a BA in the US. I don't think that there is any such thing as a three year BA in the US. That would be an associate's degree. The four years is implied.
