3 weeks of filing tomorrow - still no receipt

Hi everyone,
Tomorrow will be the third week of filing for my concurrent I-140/AOS, however, no receipt from USCIS has been received so far by the attorney. It was a Labor Day in September, but 3 weeks is a pretty long time. I remember getting receipts within a week of filing date.
Any suggestions? Should I call the USCIS?
Thanks.

I called the USCIS toll-free number today to get the possible status of my applications with the receipt number. They did not even find any new applications filed on me in the system which now makes me a little nervous, since 3 weeks already passed. No-one knows if that is normal???

Are you in EB2 rest of the world (i.e. not China or India), or EB1? If not, concurrent I-140/I-485 will not be accepted, and instead of a receipt they'll send back the application forms.

Thanks Jackolantern. Yes, I am originally from E-Europe, therefore, it is the rest of the world. The attorney could file concurrently under EB-2 in my case.
I read that after the CIS implemented the new lockbox mail system to accept applications, the delays became pretty common (30-60 days).
Also my Labor is expiring early October, that should not cause issues if the application is processed after the expiration, since the application was already filed on time and only waiting to be processed, correct? There is nothing I can do at this point maybe except calling CIS every few days and keep asking about the receipt.
Any suggestions?

PS: I just called USCIS again and they issued a referral number for me, the referral will inquire the lockbox location regarding the mailed applications, but it will take some time, probably a couple of weeks.
