According to Project Kashmir,
three RFEs were sent to WAC-03-140 (ND 4/2/2003) on 9/24/2003.
If they were Religious Workers, it's too late.
What is the CSC doing ?
Any idea ?
Code:
case #* scanned status touched date previous scanned status
--------^----------^------------^----------------^-----------------------
WAC03140 2003-09-25 RFE sent 2003-09-24 <- 2003-05-22 FP received
WAC03140 2003-09-25 RFE sent 2003-09-24 <- 2003-05-22 FP received
WAC03140 2003-09-25 RFE sent 2003-09-24 <- 2003-06-12 FP received
                                    subtotal 3
I'm not blaming lucky ones at all.

My friend got an RFE just like this within 3 months of filing, but got rejected 2 weeks after replying.

He used an LC left over by his colleague and there was some problem with that LC.

In a nut shell if there is some problem when looking into AP & EAD files BCIS may issue an RFE.

Not sure if these cases are similar or not.

> up to 1% are always "early birds". Can be some national interest...

Do you think the USCIS really needs 1% for "early birds" ?
The number of these cases at the CSC already reaches 1,000.
On the other hand, the CSC is processing about 500 cases per month.
This means "early birds" matches 2 months.
If the CSC is processing 5,000 cases per month, it doesn't matter.
However, "early birds" delays normal cases by 2 months now.
Do you think it is reasonable ?

Kashmir, of course it is not,
as you know, processing at CSC was slowed down in late fall of 2002 , when they announced transition to BCIS under the roof of Homeland Security. Since then, they work on a very slow pace. However, there was always some small amount of cases, which are approved way ahead of others, and I call them early birds. My guess is, for these ones no slowdown ever happened, and if these are EB cases, there should be some national interest. What kind of national interest? I don't know. DoD people maybe. Or self-sponsored extraordinary ability. My lawyer once boosted that he managed to get one GC case through in a month. (The guy was kind of super psychic healer from India with a huge clientile in Beverly Hills (personally I do not believe him, maybe it was a joke :)))

Hey John, cool down. cool down. There are so many 01 and 02 cases pending. The approval is random (in a way). Kashmir is not a God and is like one of us. He is doing his best (extra-ordinarily awesome job!!! ) by giving us stats and that gives us some hope.

Re: If they were Religious Workers, it's too late

Why would it be late for religious workers. Does the sunset provision say that all decssions must be complete by 30 th Sep. Wont it be enough if all cases are taken up by that date. And that would mean that processing on a few cases could still continue beyond sep 30th.

Or am I missing something

Hi, Dreamandwin,
I thought that Religious Worker' AOS had to be *adjudicated* by September 30,
but I am not sure.

Anyway, it's October 1st today.
God bless Religious Workers,

Hi, ND022202,
Thanks for your consideration about "early birds".

TO: Everyone, especially WAC03 applicants,
It's October 1st today, starting new fiscal year 2004 at the USCIS,
however, nobody guarantees the "normal" processing will resume today or this month.

You may be one of lucky ones to become "early bird".
Its chance is 1%.
However, there are more than 2,000 pending I485 cases filed in August and September, 2001.
It is more than 15% and much higher than your chance of "early bird".

If the slow pace of FY2003 will continue, it will take 5 or 6 years just to clear WAC-02 cases.

Bush had promissed to assign $500M for backlog reduction once before,
but Bush has no money right now because wasting $2B per week in Iraq.
Top management at the USCIS is stupid.

You may hope some improvement in future and choose just waiting.
But, I believe such an improvement will never happen automatically in near future, ... it will be hopeless.
I encourage to take an action right now.
