3 months + for administrative processing?

Hi folks,

My girlfriend had her consulate interview back on Feburary 13th, 2007 and she just called up the embassy in Tashkent last week and they told her that they would be contacting her when the visa is ready.

I guess that I feel rather stunned at the month. She was told that things would be ready in three months, etc. etc.

I was wondering whether if she was rejected whether the embassy would call her or would they simply wait until sept. 2007 until the deadline expires.

Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks!

most likely her name check is pending. for the past few years, all immigration benefits need to have a name check which has created a new mess and backlog of its own. nothing can be done really. she just has to pray that they get to it on time.

Sounds good... so I guess that there isn't any way to figure out where she is in the process then?
