I went for my second FP this morning. This is the 5th time I have been to the ASC in Portland OR. The place is run by TRW under contract. The waiting room there is set up for about 100 people. In all of my visits I have never seen any more than 10 people in the place. This includes one day when I sat in there for about 90 minutes. This morning I was 1 of 2 people there. To support this massive workload they had on staff about 7 people (that I could see) This is consistent for each of my previous visit. I know its a contractor and they are not BCIS staff, but perhaps they could deploy some the money they spend to pay people to sit around in the ASC's to processing my case in something less than 2 years.
! The second time there was not wait - only about 10 people. I also did Special Registration in the PDX BCIS office (not the ASC). Wait times were short and the staff was helpful - they even gave me an EAD wihtout having to wait in line since mine was pending for over 90 days. For I551 stamping I fell under the Seattle jurisdiction. They are SLOW. If you live in Oregon count yourself lucky.
