2nd FP related Question?

I have one question relating 2nd FP.

In the I-485 approval notice there is no exact date for stamping the passport. But for 1st or 2nd FP there should be a specific date. My question is that can the FP date be changed about two months? Or is there any rule that person should appear within a certain time frame?

For the FP, they give you a date when you can go to your local office and get FPs done.

I have seen people who go before their FP date to get them done, just to expedite the 485 process. But I haven't seen anyone try to delay their FP date beyond the date listed on your notice.

I received my 2nd FP notice right after my RFE reply received by INS on 5/28/03. It is scheduled on 6/30/03. I called INS today to ask if I can do FP earlier than the scheduled date. They said no.
So I have to wait.
