Received 2nd FP for me and wife (it's on 11/30). My wife is in India for family reason and is not scheduled to come back until March 1st 05.

What are my options? Will this delay mine as well as my wife's application?

lkjhgf,
You can go and do your FP alone, no one will stop you. But mind you, the adjudicating officer after he receives the FP check might start process on your 485 and complete it or wait for your wife's FP too.
The best thing to do, if possible, I suggest to get your wife back asap and avoid allowing them to find a reason to delay further process.

As VizagBlues said, you can get your FP done first and ask them to reschedule your wife's appointment if she cannot come back on time. But you never know how long this will delay your wife's case.

In my case, I went to get my 2nd FP done and got approved in 40 days. But my spouse, who was not able to do FPing with me, had to ask for a new appt. We waited 2 months to get it (after 2 mails to the local CIS center and one inquire through mail to NSC regarding this matter). Luckily, he got approved in less than 30days after FP.

Good luck.

Please read the FP notice, if you don't go or don't re-schedule, your case will be considered abandoned. And I'm not sure whether you can choose "when" to go in case you re-schedule, March is still far away.

Thanks jw_dm,

Do you think delay in my wife's FP will delay my application too? People are telling me different things. I met with my congresswoman's office and they said probably it will slightly delay my wife's case and should not affect mine.

Also, whom to write to reschedule the date? to NSC or local FP office where FP is scheduled?

Why dont you get your wife back to USA and send her back after the FP? I personally think that you should not mess with NSC. They are already very notorious with our applications and given the chance they will probably delay your application further.

The rescheduling process should be written at the bottom of your FP notice.
