Response to my inquiry iniated in December, this is what I got after two months:
"The processing of your petition has been delayed. All petitions required to have routine fingerprint checks that are resulting in delays of the adjudication of petions. As a result of lack of manpower to complete the checks in a timely manner, we have no control over how long these checks will take. We can give no definite indication of when they will be completed. We apologize for the delay. Fingerprints have an expiration time frame; they are only valid for 15 months. If they are acceptable prints, then the Service can send the file for final determination."
"contact us for future inquiries...blah, blah blah..."
Even though, I had my fingerprints taken Oct 25, 2003. Still wiating, tick tock tick tock.
