2nd FP - Boston, urgent help needed

feb12rd

Registered Users (C)
We got our 2nd FP notice in the mail as well as from lawyer. The scheduled date is October 10 in Boston. I am going on a business trip from Sep. 29 to Oct. 11 to West Coast. Already booked the tickets. Just wondeing if somebody has tried doing early 2nd FP in Boston and what was the outcome. I am planning to try this Saturday. I had already taken a letter from my manager stating my business trip.
Any comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Is your location is Boston also. Are you planning to go early. I got my 2nd FP notice yesterday and planning to go on this Saturday.
Thanks for you reply.

feb12rd,
I have seen some cases in this forum about doing early fp. Even one my friend done early fp too. They will entertain it. Go ahead.

Best of luck.

dengdeng,
Doing early fp is always good for your case. Every thing goes right you can see early gc approval. Don't waste any time. we already lost lot of time.

Thanks manumahi for your reply. I am also aware of and read about few cases who have done early FP's and approved but I was wondering if somebody has done that in Boston and if they can tell about their early FP experience at Boston. Is your friend has done in Boston.
Thanks once again,

Is the Boston FP office open every day?

Deng Deng,
Is the FP office by the Fleet Center open on all days of the week?
I am planning on going on Monday.

RD 12/18/01
1st FP 03/07/03
2nd FP 10/14/03 (scheduled, but will go earlier)

I did my FP in Atlanta before my finger printing date and there was no problem and yes I did go there on a saturday.

Also I have read in other places that Boston and other cities you can just land there with your paperwork and they will do it. I don't think you will have any issues if you go before your appointment date.

Re: Is the Boston FP office open every day?

tick_tock_tick

Don't go on Monday, according to their website it is closed on Sunday & Monday and open from Tuesday to Saturday but unluckily there is no phone no. to verify, so its better to avoid going Monday. I don't believe fully on their website contents as I had a bad experience regarding my EAD and AP renewal. According to their website (in February , 2003), EAD & AP can be renewd in Boston the same day but when I reached there they told me that they have stopped doing same day renewals and we have to apply by mail to VSC. I applied my EAD in end of Feb. 03 and got approved on 3/31/03 (exactly the same day my previous EAD expired).

Dengdeng, we will probably meet on Saturday. From which country you are from. I am from India. See you there and hope everything goes well with us there.

Bye now

Just have in mind that you dont voluntarily tell them that you are coming early..But if asked, do have valid reason for them to allow you.
Good Luck.

Thanks very much VijayRC for your suggestions. We hope they will allow us. I don't want to reschedule my FP as I am in WestCoast on 10/10/03 (my scheduled date).

I think you will be fine

I did my 2nd FP on 7/30/03
I went about a week earlier. They didn't even look at the notice.
Don't worry. as long as you don't tell them voluntarily

Re: I think you will be fine

Thanks very much for your response.
Can you tell me what time they open in the morning (believing that you had gone to 170 Portland Street, Boston) and if there is any line in the morning. What is better, to go in the morning or later in the day (esp. for early FP).
Thanks again.

Don't go when they open or when they are abt to close.,
Just be there around 10 or 11 and when there isn't much of a crowd...
I guess you should be fine...! That's what I did twice in New Rochelle, NY when I did my early FP1/2.
Good Luck and keep us posted.

Thanks again VijayRC for your suggestion. I was planning to reach very early there to avoid the wait but now dropped the idea and will reach there around 11 AM.
Will post my experience after coming back.
Thanks again,

We (me and my wife) had gone for early FP today in Boston (170 Portland Street). We reached around 12:05 PM and were out at 12:15 PM. Everything gone very smoothly. The staff was very courteous. There was no body when we reached there so just taken couple of minutes in filling the form and then were taken for the FP (few minutes). They have not asked for anything (I had taken ittenary for my trip and my Manager letter also).
So for BOSTON, I am pretty sure they can do early FP without any problems. Thanks VijayRC, Joanne03, Manumahi, PremChopra, Gonecase, Dengdeng for their valuable advice.
Regards,
