2nd fingerprint

My husband and I did our 2nd fingerprints today. When we called the TSC, the officer said it\'d take a month for I-485 approval after it\'s done. Does anyone have any experience of it? Thanks.

Did second FP on 11/08/2001. Called yesterday, my case
is still in the UNIT waiting to be reviewed and assigned.

From what I have seen, most approvals came in 2-3 months
after second FP.

Do second FP cases have any priority?

My lawyer said I-485 cases are usually approved within 2 months after 2nd FP. Let\'s see how true it is ...

When we noticed our first FP was expiring, we asked our attorney if we need to do something, and he said the INS\'d send us the letters soon. However, we never received anything, so my husband called the INS and requested for 2nd FP letters. If your FP is expiring, I suggest you to call or fax to the INS to request the 2nd FP notice. We received the 2nd FP notices 2 months after my husband talked to an IIO. Hope this help.

Same was the reply we got form our lawyer "INS will know when to send". I fax every week. Haven\'t been able to talk to IIO. My FP expired in Nov.

Spoke to an IIO

RD&ND 12/99 2ndFP 10/2001

Waiting in the Unit to be assigned to an officer. Apparently there
are two groups of officers working on 485 cases. One set is working on
cases of Jan 2000 & above(RD) and the other on older cases. The IIO said that I will be hearing something in no more that 2 months(I have been hearing that forever).

As far as I know, you must have a valid fingerprint done to get the approval. When the processing turned 01/00 and my husband called the INS to see our status. (it was before our 2nd FP) And the officer said the only thing missing was the 2nd FP.
