We are in the same boat. I deceided to efile myself on my 2nd EAD ( did not ask my lawyer to do it coz they were charging extra fee). I got a notice in email that an RFE has been mailed last 10/24 but so far I have not received such letter. I mailed same documents like yours and is scheduled for FP this 11/2. I was thinking though that I placed H1B in my current visa/legal status instead of AOS pending ( but there was no choice like this in the efile list) and my HI actually expired and am just using my current EAD based on my pending I485 application submitted 1/4/05 , my H1 expired 2/28/05.

Ple post once you fget your RFE letter.

RFE is for Digital photot, FP & Signature

RFE Details
========

If you have not completed this part of the process within 12 weeks of the date of this notice, your application will be deemed to have been abandoned and subsequently denied." --IMPORTANT: YOU MUST TAKE THIS LETTER AND THE ATTACHED CONFIRMATION RECEIPT WITH YOU WHEN YOU GO TO THE ASC.-- PLEASE PROVIDE THE DATE YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO APPEAR FOR YOUR BIOMETRICS: ________ (Date). Return this notice with your response and the enclosed cover sheet on top. If you do not reply within the next 12 weeks, your application may be denied".......

I already called 1-800 number when e-filed and got an appointment date a local ASC. Now I need to send a reponse to this RFE too.

I don't think this is nothing to worry about. This is likely the official receipt notice with the information for you to make an an appointment for Code 2 Biometrics, which is required only for efiled I765 cases. I think they just call it differently now.

Same boat

I have filed third EAD on 9/2/2005 for me and my wife. I got a email from USCIS saying that on 10/31/2005 they sent a notice asking for more information for both of our case. But i didn't received the notice yet for either of us.

My current EAD is expiring on Dec 20 2005 and i have to get my EAD or iEAD before that. Otherwise i cannot work in any visa, since i completed my 6 years and change the employer in WAD. Does any one has any idea about how long it takes NSC to make the decision based on my RFE response?

Since both of us got RFE, i am assuming it should be some kind of more document or FP or Biometrics. is there a way can i get iEAD when an RFE is issued/responded and EAD is not approved ?

Thanks

Hi Rose101,
I got an email today regarding RFE on EAD as well. I haven't received the actual notice with the details yet. I guess this is similar to the one you got. How did you respond to the RFE? I dont have a lawyer to respond, thats why I am asking you this question.

I have scheduled for digital photo at ASC as well but I uess the USCIS has no way of knowing that (and thats why they sent the RFE).
Thanks!

I also got the RFE for my EAD, and the only thing I had to do was to sign inside a black rectangle in the attached piece of paper and that is it. The message was something like
"The applicant's signature is not acceptable for use by the Service's Employment Authorization Card manufacturing equipment. The applicant is instructed to sign using black ink inside the "signature Box" below (No part of the signature can extend beyond the inside of the box) Also, it is the applicant's signature that is required, so another person cannot sign for the applicant"
I thought that signature was to be collected with FP. Anyway that is my grain of salt.

I finally received the RFEs for e-filed EADs and APs.
For EAD it is because they didn't get digital photo from one of their ASCs. Yesterday I did a walk in at local ASC and got that photo thing done. Now when I respond to the RFE can I just reply back to them along with the entire mail they sent to me and adding a copy of paper that shows my digital photo has been taken or do I need to send them some fancy write up?

The RFE for AP is beacue I didn't include pictures with the supporting documentation. Again the same question. Can I just mail them the photos along with their RFE papers (not adding any more papers or explanation)?

Thanks

I tried walk-in but they did not allow me

I got appointment in december. I just tried walk-in, but they did not allow at local asc (wheaton, MD). So I need to wait.

Better to send RFEs separately.

I have attorney but for this e-filing, I did not use his services. Due to retrogression, I thought I will be with BCIS many years and thought to file myself to cut-down lawyer fees.

Responding RFE is simple and I did that myself before. Bettr to send reposnces separately and as per their instructions exactly. If you wish to add a letter based on the requirement, that is fine. For EAD's Digital photo RFE, if we fill asc visit date and attach all form below their letter, I believe would be sufficient.
