2nd EAD apporoved after I485 approval

My I 485 was approved 2 weeks ago and today I got 2 emails from USCIS saying my EAD approved and they have ordered me a new card...I thought they would just void my application for EAD and A/P renewal since I485 is approved already, what is the point now to give me another EAD card??

You are right, there is no point in issuing you the EAD. Rememember these are separate applications and are adjudicated by separate officers, and stoered in separate areas. We all know USCIS is not well connected and this just goes to prove that. Forget and forgive USCIS, and enjoy your PR status.
