about what does 245(k) means? here is something i copied from ISN.org. if it is true, doen\'t it mean that no body need to worry about her/his status anymore once 485 is filed?

1. 245(k) protection is available only to Employment based AOS filers.

2. 245(k) protection as opposed to 245(i) was/is available at all times and will be available even after APR 31,2001, i.e people with P.D > APR 31,2001.

3. Your out of status and/or unauthorised employment duration to use 245(k) must be

No Title

also , check out http://www.isn.org/245iDialog.html, it states:

If you\'ve lost your job or are afraid of losing your job because of the layoffs, you may wish to establish your eligibility under §245(I) by April 30, 2001. That way, if you become "out of status" in the future, you will still be able to adjust your status in the U.S.

what does this mean? even if you are on h1 or 485 pending you can establish 245(i) status? if that\'s the case, why not everyone just go ahead do it?
