Question might be a simple but I did not see any explanation. Therefore I need a feedback:

230 Part I forms should be signed by the applicant and the family members. I have a son 12 y.o. So who will sign the document..? It is OK if my son will write his name at the signature place?

Thanks

Yes, that will be much better.

Thanks so much..

I have the other question :

On 230 forms that I have to fill for me and all family members there is a box asking 'the name and address of the petitioner'. I asked about this box one of my friends living in US. He says he thinks that as a petitioner I have to write my name on all forms..but says he thinks. Any person who could give an concrete answer?

Thanks in advance

The name and Address of the petitioner is: your name and Address.
Each member of your family immigrating with will have to fill their DS-230 form in the same way.I hope u understand.
By the way, which country are u from?

To make it clearer, each members of your family immigrating with u are petitioners in ther own right.I hope that is understood.

I returned our forms last week, and called the Kentucky Consulate to ask the above 2 questions specifically.

This is what we were told:

For the signatures, if the child is old enough to sign then they sign (our 11 and 13 year olds signed theirs), and the petitioner can countersign. Our 2 youngest (age 2 and 5) were to be signed by the petitioner.

The Petitioner is the person whose name was pulled out for the Lottery. So on all the forms the petitioner is the same - NOT the name of the person filling in the form. So in our case, Carolyn was the family member selected in the Lottery, so all our forms have her name and address as the petitioner.

hi ERKAN

hope it helps
good luck
