221(g) rejection in Delhi

Hi,

I went for stamping on June 1st 2004. They rejected my application under 221(g) for further administrative processing. While I was waiting for their call my H1 petition expired on July 7th. Company applied for 7th year extnsion and got it in mid august. Also my Labor certificate got approved around same time. Now it more than four months and I am still waiting for their call. I keep sending them mails and call them frequently. Everytime I get same answer to wait. Plz someone suggest what are my options

So are you in India now, waiting for embassy's call? Did they mention what administrative reasons? Were you ever arrested or have had a brush with law in the past? If yes, did they take your fingerprints? Provide more info.

i am still in india waiting for the call. Whenever i contact them always get the same reply to wait for their call. My company attorney informed me that it is held up due to security concerns. I am not arrested any time or any brush with law. it is just frustrating.

I can then truly understand your frustation. Maybe you name matches someone's that is causing all this delay. One suggestion would be to work with our lawyer to send good character letters for yourself from employer, co-workers, friends, etc. Maybe that helps. This is truly unheard of. Best of luck.

Hi,
My name is Pavan Right now I am in India and have a query on my H1B.

My case:

I went to delhi for H1B stamping on september 13 and the consulate asked me to get some papers which i happen to take on sept 30 2004 and the consulate has placed a query of Administrative processing on H1B and it has been already 6 months and i havent recieved any mail from us consulate from delhi regarding my case. I have done my masters from usa and came for a h1b stamping to india.( change of status from f1 to h1)

My questions are:

1. What is administrative processing and it takes how many days ?

2. Is it possible for me to go to chennai when my administraive processing is going on?

Dates attended: Sept 13, 2004 and Sept 30, 2004
Type of Query: US employee check
Documents with the consulate:
1. LCA
2. I129 Petition
3. W2 of all the employees
4.Experience letters

waiting for the reply from consulate from past 6 months
