I was give 221(g) in US consulate India first week of May 2006 requesting a letter from the client that i'm working with them , client relationship with the employer and marketing analysis. Once i received(after 5 days) the requested docs from USA i have went again for the interview. In the counter(Desi) asked if i have all the requested docs i said yes and he checked with the consular officer next counter(initally who has issued me 221(g)) and told me he would send my passport in 2 to 3 days. He got my passport, DD and I797. Please note second time i have not even spoke to the consular officer. It is almost 12 working days i have not yet received my passport. I contacted VFS office many of times but they say they have not received the passport and advised me to send an email to the consular office and my employer did but its almost 3 days no response.
My client is very supportive and my manager is asking how long it would take, but here in the consulate they are not giving proper answer.
To my knowledge if they take the passport and DD means they will give the VISA, but now after two weeks Now i doubt they might have misplaced my passport.
Anyone experienced this kind of problem. Please share your experience and advise me what to do now?
