hi Ahmed

i don't thing that will be a problem as long as the spelling is the same because in USA they use your last name but in Sudan we use our 1st name and i guess this can be clarified at the interview (this is my personal opinion),

by the way is your case number high? because i guess am very high DV2014AF00068XXX :(

The instructions on the DV lottery do tell you to enter your names exactly the way they are written on your passport. So this may be a problem. I'd suggest you contact KCC directly for advice as you are only likely to get speculation here, unless someone with a similar situation who has already been through the process reads this and answers.

That information in the instructions is misleading. Probably not all applicants have a passport by the time they send the eDV. At the end it matters what is in the birth certificate.

Not all applicants have their birth certificate when they enter either....there's another post by a Sudanese who still can't get hold of his...
