I am a 2008 winner from Argentina that lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a few years. I know I have to present police certificates from Brazil to the Consulate in Buenos Aires at the time of the interview, but I am wondering exactly which ones, and what type of translation and legalization is required. I identified the following potential certificates:
• A Certidão de Antedecentes Criminais (police certificate) issued by the Federal Police.
• A Certidão de Antedecentes Criminais issued by the Sao Paulo State Authority.
• A Certidão de Distribuição Cíveis e Criminais (justice certificate) issued by the Federal Ministry of Justice.
Not sure if all of them are necessary. Also, I believe that they will have to be translated into English by an official translator (since the Consulate in Buenos Aires will probably not accept documents in Portuguese). Do they have to be legalized by any Braizilian government agency or by the US Consulate in Sao Paulo?
Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
