2003 Filers

Guys,

I was wondering if any 2003 NSC filers are still waiting?

I could not find any recent posts in this context? There were some posts from about 3-4 months back. But is anyone still waiting?

I have been waiting since Aug 2003 and it is quite frustrating to see out of turn approvals. In reply to my recent enquiry NSC said that my case had been selected for a "detailed review". Anyone else in the same boat.... please share your experience.

An official inquiry was initiated by my attorney on August 30. Waiting for response.

Is your case also under "detailed review"? Do you have any idea what this could mean? It is quiet frustrating when they don't say what is causing the delay.
 
I am also waiting from Sep 2003

Detailed review means back ground checks, in other words security review. Atleast that's what I learned from the senator and congressman. Unfortunately, nobody can expedite this process because this is done by FBI.
Remember, lot of people confuse this with name check. .Security review is different from name check You send an email to FBI(I forgot the email address). They will respond after 5 or 6 months that they completed the name check and the results were sent to USCIS on so and so date. Security review more eloborate.

When I asked my attorney if there are any other options, he said the only other option would be filing a lawsuit against USCIS. I am still evaluating the pros and cons of that because it is not like suing McDonalds, you are suing a govt. agency.

Hope this helps. So, my only advice at this point would be be patient and keep trying thru your attorney/congressman/senator. Use their help as much as possible. At any point, don't get frustrated, because nothing is going to happen.
 
I am the oldest

Please count me in. I think I am the oldest his I-140 hasn't approved yet. RD is January2003. Security checking as well. :D :rolleyes:
