hi all,
i have a few questions:
1. is it possible to apply under the 20,000 quota throughout the year or does it fall under the same stipulation of apr-oct apply dates?
2. if i am applying for FY2007( work dates between oct 2006 and oct 2007) in apr and my visa gets approved hypothetically by May....is it possible for me to start working from May or do i still need to wait till oct 1st 2006 to do so.
3. does unfilled 20,000 quota visa get carried over to the next year and when can u apply for those if they do.
4. i do not have an OPT and i graduate in May 2006. so i will be out of status between May and Oct assuming i can start work only on Oct 1st 2006. i can find a way to stay in status thru F2 but will not be allowed to work under the same. i planned to start with a co-op or itnernship that will carry me thru till May '06. but then i will face a gap of May-Oct even if the employers feel time till May is sufficient to process H1. is there a way to get past this and be able to continue workign here?
