Does the time spent doing research for your Ph.D. that resulted in publications count towards the required 2 years experience for NIW? I thought I read somewhere it should. I have two years anyway if you count the time before grad school when I was a tech and the year postdoc I have done so far. Thanks, you're all so helpful

Where did you see that two years experience is required for NIW? Whatever it is, do NOT read it again. There is NO such requirement. If you have a masters or doctoral degree, you are already qualified for EB2.
