Hi,

My approved LC states that my job requires a 4-year (number of years in ETA750A item 14 for Education: College) Bachelor's degree or foeign aquivalent. I have a foreign Bachelor's degree but in a non-related field. I do have a U.S. 2-year Master's degree in the related field though. Will I qualify for this postion regarding the education? We know Master's degree is higher than Bachelor's degree, but will INS/CIS sticks to 4-year requirement in LC and say I am not qualified since Master's degree only requires 2-year's education? ( I don't have a Bachelor's degree in this field)

This question is for I140/485 application.

Can anyone please shed me some light?

Thank you so very much in advance!

i am in a similar position as u. my lawyer says, LC specifies the minimum qualification required for the job. the fact that u have a master degree for a job that requires a bachelors degree makes u exceed the minimum qualification and u shud be fine. hope that is truw.

My situation was similar to both of yours.
I had a Masters in the field that the LC stated and my bachelors was in a totally different field.

Here's my case details

RD 7/14
ND 7/17
AD 11/13
Concurrent filing

hang in there...i think you guys will not have any problems
