My wife just got naturalized on July 10, 2012. She put in her application for her US Passport on July 12, 2012 through regular service from the Post Office. Does anyone have an idea of the processing time for this. I know they state 4-6 weeks for processing but does it really take that long?
And my second question involved an Indian Tourist Visa and Renunciation of her old Indian Passport. Once she receives her US Passport in the mail, she is planning to get an Indian Tourist Visa and Renunciation done via Travisa outsourcing. I wanted to know the approximate processing time for getting the tourist visa and for getting the canceled passport back. I went to their site and noticed it stated delayed processing time for people applying for visas of Indian Origin and 15 days for renunciation. Once again, does anyone have an idea of the approximate processing times.
