2 nd EAD being worked upon after 485 approval/ PP stamp

While checking my portfolio on the USCIS website, I found that the status of my 2 nd EAD application changed on 1/10/2005 to "Receipt notice sent"...blah blah...We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 75 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

This is very curious since my 485 was approved on Nov 1 2004 and my passport stamped on Nov 23 2004.
Is there any use of this second EAD for me now?

There is no use for you, but your lawyer and CIS would very much appreciate your additional contribution.

Well, I had applied for the 2 nd ead before the 485 approval. In hindsight, it seems to be a waste of money but maybe the 2 nd ead application made CIS take up the whole case and approve the pending 140 and 485.

Nothing .... If you get the second EAD, keep it as a souvenir. Its also proof of how CIS wastes time (and the reason for backlogs)
