First time H1B filing under premium processing. I currently have 2 new H1B petitions filed with different companies and different job profiles (one by a 70 person concern and the other by a 20000 people company). The first petition by the smaller company received a RFE which the lawyers replied to. The 2nd petition by the large company was filed last week. We expect the INS to decide on the RFE petition early next week followed by a decision on the 2nd petition.
Can someone tell me:
1. On what grounds can a H1B application be denied? Does it normally happen?
2. How does a favorable decision on the first petition affect decision on the other?
3. If the first petition is denied, how (if at all) does that impact the decision on the 2nd one?
