2.FP updated online today, assigned or not?

My 2. FP done on Aug. 5(scheduled on sep. 16th). The online message changed as this:

"On August 7, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

Does anyone can tell if my case has been assigned to an officer or not?

kuduer6, first I'm not a fortune teller, I can't tell if your case is assigned or not for sure. I can only say likely if your case is assigned or not base on assumption if a case is assigned, then 2nd fp generated later than expired date.

Second, can you tell me your finger print notice issue date, if it's 7/10/03 or around that time, then no, probably no assigned.

A notice is issued two weeks before your get it from mail, ususally.

My 2. FP notice was generated on 7/25.

Someone seems to point out here in a thread that 2. FP results changed or not could imply if being assigned or not to an officer. I don't remember which way is what.
There are some people here whose 2. FP results never been updated.

Can dengdeng or anyone else shed some lights on if these two categories mean anything?

Sound like to me your case was assigned! 7.25 and 7/10 has two weeks apart. And you're Dec cases, very much likely was assigned to an officer in May like mine. And the officer opened your case after 7/10, and then issued you a second FP notice.
Your case probably will be approved middle of Sep.
 
I just called FBI

I just called FBI for my 2nd fingerprint on 7/30/2003
it is amazing that the FBI approved my FP right next day and sent that to BCIS electronically.
That meanas BCIS has received my 2n FP on 7/31/2003 and they even haven't updated the web status yet.

So I called BCIS and the lady I talked to was just simply reading what the web status says. so stupid.

From a few other postings here, it seems that no updated message means being assigned already. So no need to worry! worse senerio is 'no meaning' from the stupid message updating.
