2 FP notices within 4 month

Dear all,

I did first FP on Jan. 27 2005. Today, I got another notice from USCIS dated Apr 28 for FP. It did not say second FP but it has a "code" 2. I am totally confused.

Does this mean:
1. First one was not received and lost ? or
2. First one was not well done ? or
3. 2nd FP is needed because FP technology changed?

When I did my first one, I was not given a receipt and according to my local friends, this is the way it's supposed to be.

Any thoughts? input?

2nd FP notice in 3 months...

Hey there:

My 140 and 485 were concurrently filed at NSC (Dec 2004)

My wife and I received the Fingerprinting notice on Jan 17 2005. We got that done on Jan 28, 2005. Today (May 7) we received another Fingerprinting notice that says "to capture your Biometrics Information". I do not remember what the previous Notice said exactly. This notice says Code 2. Do not remember the first one. Will confirm with lawyer.

Did you hear from anyone whats going on? Does this mean that the first set of Fingerprints were not good enough?? Could someone re-post the FBI number and the process to find this out.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
