Today my wife and I had our I-485/I-130 interview. The officer said that our marriage was done for the right reasons and that the case is "approvable." However, because of my asylum case, which is still pending, the officer will not be able to give the final answer. The officer said that I need to contact the asylum office and request them to withdraw my application and request them to forward the documents to the officer for the final decision.
I am looking for some advice on how to do that. I do not know whom to contact regarding my asylum case, the only thing I know about it is that the case is in San Francisco office. I don't have any phone numbers or addresses to call or send letters to. There is no receipt number for the asylum case either and when I call the national line I cannot get to talk to a person. If someone could give me some guidance it would be great.
Also, do you think the asylum office will withdraw the application and forward it to the officer?
